Centrally located in Granville, the school is a short walk from Granville Railway Station and a 10 minute drive from the Parramatta CBD. The school is situated on the historic and heritage listed former Granville TAFE site, providing a learning environment that blends history with modernism. MGGS strives to be recognised as a school of choice for Muslim girls in Sydney, fostering a positive learning environment with a culture of inclusiveness and empowerment.
Holistic Islamic & Academic Development
The School emphasises a holistic approach to the education and development of girls, with academic, sporting and cultural opportunities as well as high quality extracurricular activities. The School Crest is a powerful touchstone that has a two-dimensional symbol of our faith, commitment to excellence and knowledge.
The Laurel Wreath
The Laurel Wreath is a symbol of excellence. It reflects our respect for the dignity of the person by celebrating and supporting the holistic pursuit of their full spiritual, academic and co-curricular potential.
The Crescent
The Crescent is a symbol of the Islamic faith. The five pointed star is the symbol of light and knowledge. The moon is the appointed sign of times, seasons, fasting and governs theIslamic calendar.
The Book
The Book is a symbol of knowledge. It represents our commitment to learning, enabling the girlsto become independent and reflective learners as they journey from learners to leaders.
The Pillars
The Five Pillars represent the declaration of the Islamic faith including the testimony (shahada),prayer (salah), alms-giving (zakat), fasting (sawm) and pilgrimage (hajj). They constitute the basic norms of Islamic practice and are accepted by Muslims globally irrespective of ethnic, regional or sectarian differences.
